What a cool car. One of my favorites and first Toyota.
Had a '79 GT Liftback. White with blue gut.
    Sister had an '80 coupe.
Took that car everywhere. Has a slave cylinder go once. That was it.

Funny, I had a 79 GT lift back, too. It was that brown/root beer color with a beige interior. All I ever replaced was the slave cylinder and the water pump.

'85 Cadillac Fleetwood. Actually put more miles on it sneaking out with my friends before I had my license than I did after (transmission went out and it made more sense to just sell it).

After replacing the windshield and fenders and tuning and detailing, it wouldn’t pass inspection with a rotted frame.

My first car at 18, over 30 years ago. Pic is not of my car but exactly what mine looked like. I had a 77 Trans Am with a 6.6 and automatic. White seats with black carpet and with a T-top.

Just kiddin'. Gave it a custom paint job in the driveway with my dad, turned out halfway decent. Added extra speakers in the back too. That's about it. Had it halfway through college when the transmission blew, replaced with a '92 Camaro RS 25th anniversary edition, which I stupidly sold to some idiot kid who destroyed it.

Technically my fist car was a 64 Tempest. It was my brothers car and my dad took my savings account money and had it fixed. I was never allowed to drive it, and he later sold it. So I guess my first real car was a brand new 1974 Honda Civic my dad bought in spring 1975. He put $500 down on it for my high school graduation gift. I graduated in June and took up the $84.00 a month payments. I had the only one in about 100 square miles. 55 screaming horsepower under the hood. Four speed manual, Am/Fm radio, no air. Loved that car, it got about 25 mpg just driving around, and close to 30 on the highway. Top speed around 85-90mph. I would love to have one today in cherry condition just to drive around for fun.

1989 Honda Prelude SI. Bought it as a 16 year old with savings from my first job. didn't know how to drive a manual but figured it out because I hated the school bus.

Im always looking through used car listings for another but they are rare now. All rusted out too quickly.

(Gold with tan interior when I bought it)

Changed it to white with black interior.

It had a factory quadraphonic 8-track stereo and a 460 under the hood. It could pass anything but a gas station.

Oh wait, you mean first car.

    Um... '85 Cimarron. :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:

Rear ended it, got it fixed, then hit a pothole big enough to tear a sizable hole into the little three speed trans.

    20160925_215109.jpg

Second car was a little more fun for this dorkus malorkus. '84 Fleetwood.

Threw a rod. Mechanic pulled the dipstick, said that oil is neither supposed to be green in color, nor should it contain glitter. Called me a dumbass and offered me 350 for the salvage plus taxi fare home.

I bought the car for less than a grand so that seemed fair.

With the Ontario tags, did this ride have imperial or metric gauges as the primary units?
