Any time I see a war wagon like this, I think of Snake driving on 7th Avenue with Brain on his way to see the Duke...

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
First car was a truck. '53 Ford F100, flathead 8, 3 on the tree. Only sold it because I was racing and figured I'd never have the money to restore it and figured it should go to someone who could/would. This one is in a bit better shape:

My dad had a blue 310GX, ran to over 200K. My sister and I were about 5 and 8 when he got it and we even hated the no room backseat. Hurricane Gloria knocked a tree down from the higher part of my front yard to the low side yard and my mom's station wagon couldn't get under it, Dad zipped right under there and just laughed at us.

Mine was a 79 Mustang, trunk model, red with black hood stripes and a 4 banger. It also had the double blade coloured wipers every kid had in the early 90s. Sold after a few months and graduated high school.

Haha, we don't see many of the old foreign cars around here anymore from my youth..since they all rotted out pretty fast in MA

I had the same car for my first, except it was white. I loved that car, but it was a heap. Learned a lot about wrenching from that one though!

1987 Supra, got it with 52K miles from the original owner in 2007. Sold it with 92K miles in 2011 for 2K lol.

    No pictures, unfortunately.

Previous owner had put on a short shifter and super wide 40 series tires on 17" 5-spoke wheels

Bought it when I was in university mostly for driving to my summer and internship jobs. Sold it to my brother when I graduated so he could move 200 miles away for an internship. I had gotten rear ended coming home late on a Saturday night just a couple weeks earlier. Didn't have full insurance coverage on it due to previous severe hail damage so we just glued the bumper back together before my brother took it.

Got stolen off my parents' driveway one day a couple years later and, by the time the police found it, the guys who stole it had swapped in an Acura motor and my brother decided he didn't want it back.

It was a 1991 Celica Alltrac Turbo, went like a tank in the snow till it got high centered. I blew the factory front bumper to bits busting through snow drifts. That car and the T100 are two I wish I’d never have let go.

A 1972 Triumph TR-6. I don't have a pic but it was like this one however not nearly in as good a shape.

Mine was basically a mass of rust being held together by the paint, but by golly I had wheels and that's all that mattered.

We'd go up on the logging roads behind town and screw around, my friends would be pulling the e-brake on their cars and "drifting" around corners. Every time I tried in the wagon the front wheels would lock up and I'd slide off into the ditch. It wasn't until tech school years later I discovered the parking brake goes to the front wheels on those old Subarus :)

Sat my fat rear end in it.
1976 Power Wagon, 400ci big block, 4 speed MT, body rust everywhere. I'm pretty sure it spent a week in the Snake River before I bought it. Paid 1700, sold a year later for 1600.
Got 7-8 mpg. Fortunately, it had two gas tanks. Manual choke and push button starter.
Died on the road on me 3 times. 3 times, someone I knew with a truck and a tow strap coincidentally passed within 5 minutes. Learned a lot about vehicle repair on account of it.

Internet pic of the same thing in much nicer condition. Mine wasn't lifted.

!969 Cougar XR7 with 351 Cleveland (same engine as Boss 351 Mustang), automatic, lsd, leather seats, and a/c, which was rare for cars up here in those days. Great car to drive. Even got 18 mpg on the highway, probably about 2mpg in town from all the burnouts. Like most people on here, I wish I'd kept it, but 8 years of university (P.Eng) demanded that I sell it. C'est la vie.
