I actually only got my first speeding ticket 2 years ago when I was 51! State trooper heading towards me said he had me on radar going 72 in a 45 zone. I looked at my speed as soon as I saw him and I was going 50. I went to court and beat it! So really, no official ticket on record yet.

I got pulled over 5 times, but my first ticket was running a red light. I was at school, 11 pm on a friday night. I had a rugby match the next day so I wasn't drinking, just going over to a friends house. The light turned yellow AS I ENTERED the intersection. Cop pulled me over a mile down the road.

First asshole cop I ever experienced, every other one had been cool. He was hoping I was drunk. Ended up he told the judge it was not a bad infraction (failure to obey traffic signals is the most expensive fine) and he dropped it as long as I attended a traffic class

First ticket was 45 in a 35 on way home from my very first day of first job, 16 years old. Had to use entire first paycheck to pay that fine! I should have known he was there, Cop has sat there for years. He is still there 30 years later!

Second time i was stopped was after I moved. I was back home (w/ out of state tags) and pulled over in the second most popular speed trap. Cop takes license back to his car and comes back a few minutes later.. asks do you know Sharon (same last name)? I say yea that my kid sister. He hands back the license and says take it easy. Turns out he was my little sis's softball coach.

Been lucky the last 20+ years (knock on wood)

Friend of mine was on I-70 heading to Baltimore when a cop steps out of the bushes in the median and points at him. He pulls over and gets a ticket for 75 in a 55. He asked the cop.. why did you pick me out of the group of 5 cars? Cops says..I pointed at the group, you were the only one who stopped, so you must have felt guilty!

I was on a back road one night goin to my exgf's house and thought i'd open it up on this straight away but right when I hit 75 I saw lights come on in the ditch and it was a sheriff sitting there clocked me at 75 in a 35. Didnt arrest me for reckless driving just got a speeding ticket. But the judge was my exgf's grandpa so the ticket was on $90 so not to bad for my first ticket.

    This is a long one.

My first ticket was for doing 92 in a 45, that's the teaser.

We have a light with dual lanes going west, which then merge (Left into Right) into 1 with a boulevard separating oncoming traffic. Yes I was young "20."
I was in left lane in a 72 SS chevelle waiting on the light. A 5.0 Mustang pulls up in the right lane, makes sign to run'em. I glanced at him and watched the light. Light turned green and I accelerated as if in normal traffic. The Mustang got on it, and left me by about a car and a half. I put on my right signal and started to switch lanes when he slammed on the breaks, I quickly swerved and got back in my lane as i passed him with out speeding up. Started to get back into the right lane while in front of him, then I heard him coming quickly enough to I thought hit my car so I switched back to the left lane. Well Now I was pissed so I dropped the Th400 into 1st and let the 500+ hp eat. Well a cop was behind us the whole time and pulled me over, only because I saw his lights and pulled over while the Mustang kept on going. The cop was very professional and asked how fast I was going I responded 85 or 86, to which he asked why I said that. I told him that's about when she shifted into 3rd. He then said I was doing 92, and asked for my license and said if I had no previous record he would let me go because he saw the Mustang taunting me. And that I should have slowed after I passed him. Good news I had at that time no record and he let me go after a look at my car.

I know there was no ticket involved but it could have been very bad.

My first speeding ticket was when I was 18, and was "caught" and cited for 137 in a 55. Lost my license for 6 months, and had to attend a class......and had to pay about $900.00 in fines.

Mine was in my Cuda. I got caught doing 70 in a 35 zone. He was pretty cool about it. He was checking out my car and had me pop the hood so his could look at the hemi (392 not stock). I told him I knew a few of the cops is Johnson County and he took it down to 45 in a 35.

Now ask me about Minneapolis, I dare you..

I haven't gotten a ticket. I let somebody else who is going fast be the "bird-dog," so they can flush out the cops if there are any shooting radar.

Not much yet, got a pretty good sound system w/ my custom sub box. Plan on adding more lights & a tool box.
Early AM, (tired ford stRanger, 6cyl.) pullin the boat to the fishing hole, a guy passes me & when gettting back into our lane, he might have been a little late (turned into dbl-yellow). Da po po coming at us, turns around overcomes me & pulls over the guy on a steeper hill, going up. I get to the scene, & the po po waves me over to ask if I thought the guys was back in out lane before the dbl. yel. kinda pissed me off that he pulled me over on the hill! I was going fishing & just wanted to get there before daylight. I said that I thought he completed the pass before the dbl. yel. Don't know if the guy got a ticket, I never saw him after that. First time to be asked if someone else deserves a ticket.

Sorry, off topic, not speeding, but should have been busted for being a bone-head.

Wintertime in MT, my buddy & a couple of girls & I decide to go wheelin after a movie. Got stuck, my buddy takes off to get someone to give us a tug. 10-15 below zero. I start shovelin, 10 mins later I look up & see my bumper even w. my head. Both fr. Wheels nothing under them but cold air. The sheriff (he helped my dad build our house) stops bye & says get yourselves outta there & get home. I’ll be back in half-an-hour. My buddy shows with a friend & his truck, pulls us out, we go home. Glad I had to shovel for a while before the po po showed, we did have “a few beers” under our belts.

Wouldn’t have gotten out of it without a few hours of work & someone getting a good running-over.

56 in a 55 on CHRISTMAS MORNING!!! I guess the cop was having a bad day. He also knew I lived 4 hours away and probably wouldn't fight it. He was right. It would have cost me more in lost wages than to just pay the fine. Looking back now I wish I would have fought it anyway. What a douche.

This one is about my friend. about a year ago i spent the night at my friends house, I had to be home for church in the morning. We took his 335IC bimmer on the georgia 400 to get to my place. He floors it, we are cruising at 150 for a couple of miles. We see some traffic ahead, we slow down to 90 coming over a little hill, a cop is sitting on the side of the highway, clocks us at 90 pulls us over, gives my friend a warning and told him to rip up the paper so his parents wouldnt find out...no joke

My first and only was for 82 in a 65 on the Beeline Highway in Rye, between Phoenix and Payson. Long, wide road that shouldn't be a 65.

Been driving for almost 20 years and only one ticket :)

I got 2 speeding tickets within a 36hr period back in summer of 06. First one was 70 in a 50 on the freeway and a fine of $130 I think was in my dad silverado. I drove right past the cop didn't even notice him. 2nd one was 87 in a 45 was in my 04 tacoma before I got to where the cop was hiding I was doing over 100, but was slowing down. Cop was pretty nice actually. Had to go to court and pay $257 in fines. When I was at court I had the highest ticket that day lol not something I was proud of 2 other people that I remember had low 80s of some kind. They had to pay fines and do community service of some kind. I lucked out on not having to do that because my first ticket I sent in a written statement constesting it and it hadn't clear yet, so it wasn't on my record so this was techincally my first offense.

As far as I know my insurance hasn't gone up because they haven't run a check on me. I've gotten pulled over 2 times and got let off.

Hell yea! I had a 93 Integra. Swapped engine..turbo... 445 whp... was a fun car! only got one ticket in it. Here is the story, going down the highway. speed limit is 65. there were to cops in the oncoming lanes, one about 10 cars in front of the other. the cop in front got me doing 83.. the one in the back got me doing 86. I seen the first cop said hell theres a bridge coming up I'll run to the house and hide for a day or two. (very small town if I would have made it home I probably would have been safe) I didnt see the one in the back, he cut across the median right before the bridge, pulled me over. the one in front that got me for 83 gave me the ticket for 83 in a 65.. my first ticket. i got 1 ticket in the integra.. 4 tickets in the tacoma... immagine that.. low fast car 1 ticket, big jacked up truck 4 tickets... they were both red too thats what sucked
