I had a 71 Ford Maverick Grabber back in 1977. Had a 302 in it, did some minor modding (headers, glas-packs, floor shifter). My father sold it out from under me when I went in the Air Force.

That's the exact color it was when I bought it. I had it repainted silver after I used it to take the front end off an Olds 88 while playing grab-ass with my girl friend and not paying attention to silly things like STOP signs.

That's funny, my parents did the same thing when I went to Air Force Basic Training. Actually it was during Technical School.

It actually worked out OK for me. I drove the Charger I built while in the Air Force back to Colorado after California told me to get it out of the state (no way it was ever gonna pass emissions), left it in a friend's yard there until I got out. Drove that until I air conditioned the block, then I bought my first NEW vehicle, a 84 Toyota pickup.

1988 Chevy Cavalier Z24 Coupe V6. Being 16 that was an awesome car w/ tons of balls. It lasted for around 250,000. Now the cavalier/cobalts are just plain pathetic. No wonder why we, as taxpayers, are going to have to bail the bastards out.

I had a 1991 Toyota regular cab 4-banger. It was a deep red, kinda burgandy. My dad won it in a raffle ! It cost them about $1000 for TTL, but I got it when I was 15. Didn't even have my learner's permit yet! :)

I beat the hell out of it, put in a sound system, but loved it.

I'm a tall guy (6'4"), but I put two 10"s behind seat. It was the most uncomfortable vehicle on long trips, but you got the sub beats in your back... :)

Holly Shit, I thought I was the only one. My parents sold my 79 Jeep CJ7 when I was at basic. I came back home, and was like "WHAT THE F". Still pissed about that one to this day.

7905_1.jpgThis was my bad ass 72 Pinto like this one, all original. But mine was a light blue hatchback. I think I got it in '88 had only like 40,000 miles, original am stereo and the AC worked, it was kinda loud, compressor bearing going out, but hey it was blowing cold. I had to get rid of that thing, I couldn't pick up any chicks in it, wasn't a "cool" car but I did have my own set of wheels. Kept that car and a couple of months later bought a 72 Lemans-GTO look alike for $500. Supposed to be a fixer-up but ended up driving it. I wish I still had that car today, being a classic muscle car. BTW I didn't pick any chicks up in that car either , just lots of partys and drinking:cool:

A 1972 Toyota Corona, 4 door sedan. My wife and I purchased it new shortly after our wedding. It was a piece of sh*t! Tranny blew at 40,000 some odd miles. Was horrible in the snow...single rear wheel drive, ate brake like crazy! Junked it after 5 years or so.
Took me 36 years before I bought another Toyota product.
HOWEVER, when that ole 72 Toy started and ran, we did have fun and memories galore!

Ah yes, the good ol 1975 Ford Mustang. My Dad gave it to me when I was 17. Drove the shit outta that thing. Blew the rear end out, then the head gasket went. After a couple of years, it got hit by a drunk driver, pretty much toasting the right rear 1/4 pannel. Had a lot of fun with that car though....those were the fun times!:D
