Hand-me-down 1980 VW Dasher 4 speed just like this one (not the actual car, just found this), dubbed "The Thrasher" by my friends. And that's what we did with it. It was actually pretty fun to drive on windy roads, but I spent half my time at the junk yard getting coolant expansion tank replacements. In the summer, rather than run the AC, I would have to run the heater with all the windows down. VW had not figured out liquid cooling and AC yet. Drove it into the ground and donated it to a high school auto shop.

2001 Chevy S10 regular cab 2.2L inline 4 cylinder 5-speed bought it for 2 g's. Maybe 100hp, but it would pull my boat all day, open diff got stuck in about 3 inches of mud. Repainted the whole truck myself (wet sanded bondo'd the ding's whole 9 yards) Had an exhaust leak that would come back not less the two weeks after having it repaired every time so after the 3-4 time fixing I just left it alone step on the gas and it sounded like a raggedy v8, power steering pump blew up and put a hole in the radiator, squeeky throw out bearing (couldn't hear it so didn't bother me), 3th motor going in now in the 3 years we owned it, cluch never had any pressure when cold so it was power shifted half the time, brake's were way sketchy put more than half pressure and the brakes would go away completely then kick in causing abs to go haywire then tires would lock up, red and black racing seats, and the ac wold freeze you to death. The only thing I miss about that truck is the MPG's avg'd 25 driving like teenagers do in the city ~30 highway. Alot of memories made in that truck tho.

97 Civic. Parents bought it new, I got it in 02' while in High School. Had it till I bought my Taco in 06. I took good care of it, and in return it took care of me. Once I got the Taco, it was kicked down to my younger sister, and she has since bought a Nitro and it was again kicked down to my even younger sis, who currently still drives it.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
My first was an 81' dahtsun sentra that I bought for $175 in 1997. I remember filling the gas tank would cost me $8. Thats right $8. Now $8 will turn the pump on for a second. I burned out the clutch on it about 3 weeks later and sold it for $500. Needless to say, I learned how to drive a manual tranny in it and made a profit for beating the crap out of it.

Onlhy pics of my first vehicle are old pics I haven't scanned yet.

First vehicle I shared with my twin brother...1980 Grand Prix. Loved that car and if I could find one today that was in semi-decent condition, I'd buy it on the spot. My first own vehicle was a 1979 Jeep CJ7 I bought from a neighbor for $1200. I busted my hump for that money and put an equal amount of sweat into fixing that baby up. I miss that Jeep.

The first vehicle that was truly mine was a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer Trailblazer Edition purchased in 2004. looked pretty good but it was a total POS. I spent nearly as much on repairs as what I paid for the vehicle, which is why I went for reliability and got into a new Tacoma TRD Off Road Access Cab in 2007.

1990 Saab 9000 Turbo. Silver with the quad 4 turbo. Loved that car. Sold it cuz my first wife (practice marriage!!!!!!!) could drive a manual. got it for 1200 with a salvage title in 1993. It got totaled for an oil leak that the mechanic couldn't find. A cracked bushing. Thats it. (not the actual car, same rims i put on it tho)

'95 Toyota Pickup. This isn't the actual truck but it looked just like this.
Only mods were slightly larger tires, nerf bars, CD player and speakers, and a plastic toolbox.
My dad still has it as his place as an extra vehicle, so it's super clean with low miles... I'm thinking I'll try to buy it back from him soon since my step-daughter is getting close to driving age.
