What wax do you use?

Bee sperm. But it's hard to get.

I use Maguires cleaner wax, the traditional stuff. And it works great! Love the shine! And Inbetween wax jobs I use the Ultimate spray wax just to keep it looken good.

 

I use 2 to 3 coats of Zaino Z2Pro and two coats of Wolfgang Fuzion as a topper.

Gives a deep gloss shine to black.

 

I used Mother's Carnuba paste wax for years, but noticed this summer that it didn't seem to last more than 1-2 washes.

Then I read here somewhere about Carnuba washing off in the summer heat. So I tried Maquires NXT 2.0. Wow! My silver paint had much more of a wet look to it and several washes later, the water was still obviously beading. I'm sold on the NXT.

 

IS the NXT you used a liquid or paste wax?

 

I used the canned "paste" vs the plastic bottle of NXT. I was surprised at how soft it is though. It's like cake icing whereas carnuba in the can is more like a moist bar of soap.

Actually that's a great price! I was looking a while back and couldn't even come close to that.

 

Most carnuba waxes are like that. They look great, but durability stinks. I usually go with 2 coats of JetSeal 109 before I top with a 'nuba. In fact, all this talk of wax has me thinking it is time to dress up the Taco.

X2, nothing better. (Not sure about the water though.....)

 

Keeps the backing plate spinning the right way. If you don't use it there will be substantial wobble and perhaps even damage to the unit. Just remeber NEVER to turn the PC w/o having on the surface. It will burn the unit out.

I have heard that to but I have also heard that if you are only doing your own cars and not using it that often you should be OK with out switching counter weights.
