That is true. However the synthetics last longer.

I like to use Megs NXT2.0. Seems to bring out the pearl in my civic. Also removes light swirl marks.

PS: First post! I don't have a Tacoma yet.. :(

    Hey Ridgerunner!

Which Klassic wax product do you recommend? Klassic offers the "All in One Polish", and they also offer the "High Gloss Sealant Glaze"

I am ordering a Porter Cable 4524 TODAY! With every type pad you can buy. (hvy cutting - Polishing). /w glass polishing kit!

I am searching now on what the best pastes to use; compounds for heavy oxidations - making it SHINE.

I hear just get an all in one polisher cleaner, don't get the cheapest just middle of the road. Of course if your paint is old you need more stuff.

    Will post later.

autogeek has them as packages with poorboys or optimum products, they both offer great polishes as well as waxes/sealants.

Hi Bassetdad:) it depends what state your finish is in right now-if it is contaminent-free and basically new, do the straight Klasse sealant glaze. If it is sticky, has waterstains or splats on it, slightly oxidized etc.-then do the Klasse all-in-one which I'm sure you know has a superfine compound in it to erase contaminents, with a final glaze too:)
...then reapply the straight Klasse sealant glaze every 4-6 months and not only will you enjoy the paint protection, but it also contains paint conditioner that feeds into the paint and deepens the color! You will really stand out with this stuff!

I'm surprised to see more people do not use Zaino...when I had a show car Zaino was highly recommended...I've been using it every since. :)

I've had my Taco for a couple weeks now and yesterday I washed it with Dawn dish washing liquid (to cut through the dealership's wax) then put 2 coats of Zaino and then used the Zaino Grand Finale spray....now she shines like crazy! :D

Hey Team, I bought a new 2009 PreRunner and when I picked it up from dealership it sure looked nice and shiney! I waxed it in two days. New paint will looks great in the beginning, but the folks that work in the back of the dealership will prep the truck and get it done. Hell, you just can't expect the lowest paid workers to do the best ever prep work in the world. Just a fact.

I have used all the name brands and worked a year with a detail shop in Tallahassee, FL while a student (And no, I'm a Gator). This is what I have learned.

Nothing is for free, if you like Caranuba based wax great. You will need to be careful and avoid the black plastic trim. It will leave a white residue. It has a great finish and protection. I wax monthly with ICE. No, it is not as protective and does not last as long. However, it applies easy and does not leave residue on trim. Your truck needs wax when it no longer beads up after rain. Pay attention to this. I also wash weekly. I use my hands to feel for paint contam. For me, this works great and the truck looks great. Oh yeah, to remove bugs from the grile use a Gain dryer sheet. Remember that you will need to wash with car shampoo right after. You don't need to scrub hard and wet before use. Cuts bug bodies like crazy!

To me this is part of the husbandtry of the truck.

Harley S100 motorcycle wax. Best wax I've ever used. Polishes off without much work and leaves a great shine. But I use wolfgang car care products for everything else, including my prewax and paint sealant.
