Nah... whether its easy to put on or not doesn't bother me all that much. Gives me an excuse to crack open a few beers and work out the ole' arm muscles. But I might give your product a try sometime. Thanks for the tips!

Turtle Wax Ice. With other stuff I used, I had to wash my truck every time after it rained. Not with Ice. Nothing sticks to it except bird sh*t. I get a wet paper towel and wipe that sh*t off. Easy maintenance, use it in the sun, wax black plastic, and also use it on my Extang tri-fold hard bed cover.

Just finished the second coat of Z2 on my new white 2009 TRD. I started yesterday with a Dawn wash, followed by a clay rub down, then another wash. I dryed it then let it sit for about 4 hours to allow for evaporation. Then I went to put on my first coat, but shit; my ZFX accelerator dryed out! Now I'm on the long cure plan. First coat of Z2 yesterday. Dryed in about an hour. The second coat was put on tonight after a wipe down with Z6 Gloss Enhancer.

The third coat will have to wait until Friday morning. Cure time is 24 hours without ZFX. She's parked in the garage until Saturday.

I should get my ZFX from Zaino on Monday, then I can start on the wife's MDX. With ZFX you can do what took 3+ days in one.

I have never had better results with any other product.

I just finished detailing the outside of my 09 TRD Sport double cab. I bought the truck around 3 months ago and finally got around to using Mother's clay bar system and Turtle Wax Ice. Check out the pics.

God... that stuff has been around since the day before dirt was invented....... but it does a pretty nice job.

I've been using Zip Wax car wash for many years, but I'm not really convinced that it "waxes" your truck (or car) every time you wash it......

Since I'm always looking for a better wax, I have a few questions about the System One product.

    1. The directions on the website say to leave the vehicle wet, spray on the wax, wipe it down, then buff it out. Is there a dry time after the wipe down and before the buff?

    2. Summit has an 8 oz bottle of the spray wax. Would that be enough if I only want to test this on the truck?

    3. Are there any cure time considerations?

    4. For those of you who use this regularly, do you also use the polish before each spray wax?

    Thanx

I use it on my truck when dry. I smear it around the whole truck, then wipe it off with a microfiber towel. You can use it on a wet truck, for example, if you just finished washing it, spray some on, then dry as normally would. But, I think it works better starting with a dry vehicle. I dont use the polish before waxing it.

    1. Applying it to dry paint is better than applying it to wet paint. But it's nice to have the option.
    2. 8 ounces is plenty to do your vehicle. The sprayer is a little lame on the 8-ounce bottle (it puts out a very fine mist which doesn't work well when its windy), but if that's an issue, just unscrew the sprayer and pour it onto an applicator or cloth.
    3. No cure time issues.
    4. You only need to polish when your paint has scratches or oxidation. I've gone years without polishing my truck (only waxing every few months). Only polish when the situation requires it, or you're taking off paint for no reason.

    Enjoy... :D

Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitely going to give System One a try:). It sounds like I won't be disappointed.
