I'm always curious about Toyota Tacoma demographics, so I decided to make a poll that will help to answer most of my questioning.

I got tried of hauling dead hookers in the back of a Cooper S. They tend to get leaky n stuff and once rigor mortise sets in they tend to be hard to remove.

That’s insensitive to dead hookers. :smack:

I’ve owned enough Toyota’s to know how reliable they are. My first truck was a Toyota. My last truck will likely be a Toyota.

Looking at them because of their styling, Quicksand color option and they are the only truck besides a Cummins diesel with a manual transmission.

They hold their value like a new diaper. Reliable. Can haul stuff. Don't need a race car.

I've always had pickups since the early '70's. All full sized. When gasoline prices started nudging close to $5/gallon in the early 2000's, I decided it was time to make a change. That and my truck at the time was a Dodge Ram with 5.9L getting roughly 10mpg. At 10 years old, the Ram was well on it's way out. Worst POS I owned with the front end death wobble and all. I went drastically different and bought a 2004 TRD Off Road Limited. I chose the Toyota due to reputation and several guys I worked with giving them solid reviews. I loved that truck more than I thought I would. After six years and roughly 100k miles, most of those guys I worked with had upgraded to the 2nd Gens. That convinced me to upgrade to my current 2010 TRD Sport DCSB. It's pretty stock with the exception of a 2" lift on Toytec's and upgraded tires to 255/75/17. It now rides and looks so much better than stock. I'm semi retired now and this truck has 91k miles currently. I pondered upgrading to a 3rd Gen, but I love this one more now than when I bought it. I think I'll pocket the dough and just keep driving this one.

I've always had a long commute and can't go without a truck. At the time, I chose a Tacoma due to size and MPG. My first was a 99 Prerunner and then a few years later I purchased a 07 DCSB for the wife. My 99 had multiple issues and I cut my loses when the crankshaft broke. I still have the 07 which I use daily on a 50 mile commute. 10 years later and a change of needs and the improvement of other brands, i'll most likely replace it with a F-150.

I had a company car and changed jobs and wanted a small truck.
Had a Ridgeline back when they came out and loved it and wanted something a little more rugged for the mall, so chose the Baja Taco, special ordered it with a manual and after waiting three months without the build starting a Toyota I settled for the same truck, but with an auto.
Been really happy with it, however for the price there was a few items that I assumed it would come with that it didn't so I have rectified that over time and now it is perfect for me and plan on driving it until either it or me dies, not sure at this point which will go first....

Got tired of fixing anything GM I've ever owned. They were always leaking something. I spent most weekends under them, on a gravel driveway, in the winter. Some say they are better now. I doubt it. My 06 Taco will likely be my last vehicle. 265k miles, about 200K more than I was ever able to accumulate on any GM junk.

Quality product with proven reliability. 8-10 years ago, on another forum, I said I'd put my 01 Tacoma up against any other vehicle made. It's 2017, and I'll still make the claim! :D

Had an '06 GMC that self-destructed all kinds of parts mere weeks after the extended warranty expired.

I swore off GM. I actually went to buy a tundra, after crunching some numbers I went Taco. Resale, dependability, durability, all sold it. I could have had a 3/4 ton ford 4x4 work truck for the same money damn near, but I am just sick and tired of big three trash. They just don't hold up.
