what I am hesitant on buying the kit above is what it does to the struts.

I see a sleeve for something and a ring but nothing else and I am very unsure how that lowers the strut position

yes it is and its on ebay, so that must make it cheap crap too? lol

as I stated a few times before, I ruled nothing out and I am trying to explore any and all options here. I will continue to try and find a better deal on the tundra kit but so far this looks to be the best price I can find.

I know that websight I posted has them, you could put a wanted add on here, in fact BEFORE you decide, go make an account on XR-underground.com (XRU) and ask questions. They will be more knowledgeable about lowered trucks than here. They also don't bash lowered trucks there.

keaker I've seen you out trolling the hell out of other threads and now that a couple of guys chimed in to tell you that you're wasting your time looking for a drop kit on a prerunner, you don't like it. Sounds counterintuitive to me. This is the almighty Internet and whether you like it or not, a lot of these guys are pretty darn accurate in their negative assessment of your plans to lower what is basically a 4x4 vehicle.

You don't like sitting 2" taller? I'm sure the Colorado/Canyon guys would welcome you with open arms but the Tacoma Prerunner wasn't designed to be lowered.

You're asking us to find a solution to a problem that we all feel is frankly a little ridiculous. Around here ridiculous means two things: bad execution or absurdly expensive. Take your pick. If you think we're wrong, prove it. Sounds like you've made up your mind.

Lowering it improves handling, and its his money. It also lowers the center of gravity and helps reduce drag. Performance for his use, this is acceptable. Y bash it. Prerunner is still 2WD!

So let's see this 16" of ground clearance you have. Why not sell it and get a 5 lug instead of lowering the truck? 5 lugs gives you a lower truck and you np don't have to worry about eBay parts on your truck.

Exactly. Its like me trying to buy a car to lift and go off-road... When I should have bought a truck in the first place.

Id be getting mine to go try a track day at road Atlanta. They let you race on the track if you can pass their specs. And in an emergency situation, it could be all the difference in the world.

and yet as rock lobster pointed out, and thankfully provided a link to a kit that does just what all the naysayers said didn't exist, (thank you for that rock lobster) he proved they were all completely 100% WRONG! and there were indeed lowering kits for prerunners.

just goes to show why people should keep asking questions and not let a few negative nellies discourage you because "they" don't like what you want to do to "your" truck
