okay so on a serious note how much are you looking to spend and then we can come up hopefully with something decent

got a cold air intake? (or a short ram... most of them like AEM and K&N call them cold air intakes but they are technically short rams...) also, exhaust (headers, gutted or aftermarket cats), or, of course, buy a cheap turbo thatll cut the life of ur engine in half...

 

If you bought the parts yourself, I have asked for my truck and was told from 400-600$ for labor

 

there is a secret to unleash some horsepower on our trucks, if youre good at following instructions you wont have a problem.

1. put truck in 4lo
2. turn steering all the way to full lock (either direction works for this)
3. easily let the clutch out
4. as soon as you feel the truck start to move, simulatneously (or at the same time)
A. let your foot off the clutch
B. use other foot (right foot) to push accelerator all the way to floorboard (until you cant push it anymore)

after doing this tiny procedure (operation, event, mod), your truck will gain a shitload (alot) of HP. this came directly from someone who works for toyota but was able to leak the information. no damage will be done, truck will start to glow all different colors, some have reported to have seen dale earnhardt's ghost waving at them, and then BOOM 85+ HP.

everyone on this site has done this mod, im surprised you havent read about it yet. tommy, if i may call you that, go ahead and search through the DIY's and youll be sure to find this mod. its called the SEARCH BEFORE YOU ASK RETARDED QUESTIONS WHEN EVERYONE WITH A 4 CYL. AND 285'S HAS ASKED THE SAME QUESTION mod.

OP is looking for horepower anyways... in that case, he just needs a WV bank roll (20 dollar bill wrapped around 50 one dollar bills) and a strip club. the amount of horepower would be unspeakable.

ouch... funny. but ouch... lol. this is true though. there are a "bajillion" other thread on this, but ive done it too so i wont give the guy too much sh**. like i said though. cant go wrong with a CAI and exhaust... they both sound great, and there is a slightly noticeable difference... but as the other suggested about regearing... id reccomend it with a 4 banger and the tires u got on there...

 

do we know if its a 4 banger v6 or 4 banger v4?
also, if im not mistaken, i think he already added 40hp with the rollbar
