-no, there is no driver setting to change that. One has to walk up to the drivers door to unlock the vehicle. One can not walk up to the passenger door, fob in pocket, to unlock it. If the driver leaves first, the passenger with their own fob, can not exit and touch the "outside of the passenger door" to lock it. The passenger door does not have the touch pad and is advertised as a driver only. Having had the touch pad on the passenger side for several other Toyota's, I'm used to it being that way.
-was referring to a limited. I have a limited, with leather seats, like the cars I have/ had. Not loosing cloth seats, cause I don't want them and don't have them. So I want the heat/cooled for my leather seats in the limited.
    - I know the holes exist for the rail and it's not that hard to add. Previous models had the front and side rails. Many people that haul mountain bikes were shocked to find there was no front rail included anymore. My dealer said Toyota wasn't even making the rail anymore, because they were going to go a different direction. I couldn't even buy one from them. People are left trying to find vendors with a rail left in stock.
-not an engineer, having the front seats higher, so people could put their feet under them would help.
-never had a back window, will never open, the one I have now. Not going to bother. Would prefer a full glass window in hopes it costs less and Toyota could put the savings to better use. I have the sun roof. Overkill to have both, imho, but know some people love the back window, but yeah, wouldn't want any bulk added, so wouldn't want electric then.

Agree with others about the cruise control and going up hills. It needs help going over the slightest inclines we have in the Midwest. That being said, assume, it is, what it is.

Do love the truck. Rides nice, looks great, feels good to drive.

I completely disagree with this, the parking/handbrake is right where it should be on the 2016s. Anyone who has ever gone out to play in fresh snow knows what I mean :p foot-operated parking / handbrakes suck, IMHO.

I prefer hand brake in the side like what we have. However. With rwd. Handbrake is not needed. Just tapped the gas.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Dear Seat-belt bracket Mike from Toyota

Here is what I think 2017 Toyota Tacoma needs to build on success of 2016 Tacoma.

    • More GoPro mounts? One on each window and one pointing forward while being installed backwards. Maybe couple on rims for that "spin me" effect.
    • Cup warmer to warm up a cup of Vagisil, after long day of revving while towing.
    • Drum brakes on the front, because you said drum brakes are ultimate off road so why make only half off road capable truck.
    • Bigger grill, because current one is not big enough to make people laugh. Maybe grill shaped like phallus with smaller lights hanging to the side like testicles.
    • Replace tow hitch with hand lotion dispenser, majority of Tacoma owners dont tow, but everybody likes to have well moisturized hands.
    • More 80's accents inside cabin, because radio and color door panels are not cliche enough.

    Sincerely
    BlueT

-Leather multi position power seats in the TRD models.

-higher displacement v6 or small v8

Thise 2 things would have me trade without a second thought.

So posting 2nd gen problems in the 2nd gen forum is the wrong spot? What occurred is you thought it was posted in the 3rd gen forum not realizing you were actually in the 2nd gen section and tried to call them out.

Just suck it up and admit the fail. Happens to the best of us.
