What would you consider "good deal" on a used G2 Bakflip

Need a cover before winter hits up here in the North East... just started shopping around so don't have many prices to compare..

Guy 2 hours away from me is selling g2 bakflip for $550 (obo). Fits my long bed and it appears to be in like-new condition.

If it were closer I'd jump on it either way, I know they go new for like $800+ (new). With a 2 hour drive (4 hours+ both ways) wanting some fello TW opinions on if this is a "good deaL" worth driving out for.

I guess I'm asking if people who have seen these come and go used if this is worth it or I will likely find another around that price closer.

Either considering doing that or going with an Extang Hinged model that is around $450 new.

 

I got my short bed g2 used a few months ago. I think i paid around $280? I can't remember for sure but it was used for about a year, had some normal dings and scratches from use, and the rails were cut in 2 places so the previous owner could mount his high lift jack. It was in good condition otherwise. He was 3-4 hours away from me but my buddy who lived 45 minutes away from the seller met with him for me and bought the cover. I eventually picked up the cover when I went to visit my buddy weeks later.

If I was in your shoes, I'd wait a little longer and see if you can find another used one cheaper BUT if you need one now, $550 is still cheaper than brand new.
