2007 regular cab 4cyl... basic truck
I bought my tacoma about a month or so ago (used). It is a 2007, regular cab, 4 cylinder, manual, 2wd, awesome basic truck. it has roughly 92k on it.

I think the previous owner had dogs as the bed is scratched to hell. I knew this beforehand and got a really good deal on it. It seems to be just the bed (tailgate and both sides). It does have a few dents as most trucks get over time.

I have a few options and was wondering what people would do in my situation.

    -Paint it (expensive)
-Leave it the hell alone (ranking high up there)
-vinyl wrap it (I've been looking into this)
    -suggestions

I've tried the buffing thing but either I really suck at it (which I'm sure I do) or the scratches are sufficient enough to need more attention. I will admit that some of them are really rough. I was more trying to get the majority, I could live with a few here and there.

My truck is Indigo Ink (dark blue) so the white scratches really pop when you get close to the truck. Not so noticeable at a distance. I also found glossy Indigo colored vinyl wrap though it isn't necessarily cheap.

Thanks for any and all suggestions

You could cover it up with a paint on bed liner but its pretty expensive.. Or buy a plastic bed liner.

You might just have scratches in the clear coat. I'd check with an independent body shop for recommendations. The might be able to touch up the clear coat and blend.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Paintless dent repair and a paint touchup. Spend that $1000 that you saved to make it a really nice truck. I'm picky that way, I only owned one beat to crap truck in my lifetime and I bought it with the intension of fixing it up. Anyone else who owned a 1978 Chevy soon realized that once it started to rust it was already too late!

Like said above, a good detailer can tell you if it's through the clear or not. It may or may not be as bad as it looks.
