I would keep what you got. Dealership is in the business of making money, and they'll do it at your expense.

Well, whats it going to cost you to replace the truck? If you sold it to them and didnt get a replacement, you basically rented the truck for 3 months for $1k... plus tax/title and license fees.

I’d keep the truck. Unless you don’t like the truck, then I’d sell it. Seems pretty basic to me.

Do you like the truck? Is selling it now worth taking a +$1000 "loss"? Would you need to replace it with something? Why would you?

These are the basic questions to start with, before anyone could give you advice.

At only $1k difference youd be at a wash best case with taxes, fees, and all the bullshit. Unless you hate your truck..

Youd have to pry my truck out of my cold, dead fingers. I got offered $8k over what I paid for my Tundra a year ago and absolutely will not sell it. Mainly because it took over a year to find, my color/config isnt common, and I love/need my truck. But thats me..

Take a course in CRITICAL THINKING. You obviously can’t replace it for that.

Why would you want to sell ? You are at the highest tier of the truck . Personally I would keep it . Unless your looking to go into a frontier one of the new ones or rubicon if your into Jeep’s .

good luck finding a comparable one to purchase for that amount now.. most dealers are charging a premium due to "chip shortages" saw one local to me charging a $2k fee for "market markup adjustment"

    markup.jpg

like the truck.. but not the price....

Yup, you've confirmed cars are a depreciating asset. The real question, as stated in every other thread like this, is what would you replace it with knowing that everything else is crazy pants expensive right now too?

If you determined you don't want the truck after 3mo and 8k miles, then yeah ditch it. There is clearly some schmuck out there willing to pay more for your used truck otherwise the dealership wouldn't offer what they did. Sell privately if you think it's the time to sell!

I sold my dented 2016 Subaru Impreza for $14k, one dealership offered me $11.5k, which was $1.5k over the KBB/Carvana/trade-in offer (and likely the true value of the vehicle.)

TLDR: sell it to the dealer NOW!

I just traded my Tundra for what I paid for it three years and 47K miles ago. And, what I bought cost less than what I got on trade.
You can do better. This happened this past weekend.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I would do nothing unless I truly hated what I had. What would you replace it with and what would that cost? At 32K miles/year your Taco will be fine.
