just curious what you would give if I were to sell my 2004 sr5 2.7l 4x4 w/ 162000 miles?

overall condition is between good and fair...
it has icon progressive AALs, fox coilovers, rear 5100s, okled light pods, goodyear duratracs, less than 500 miles on all previous listed items, 5000k hids, and will have fiber glass front fenders, brute force fab front/rear bumpers and sliders

Mods don't add to price unless buyer specifically wants them, or knows nothing.

I would prefer buy a stock truck then modded one so I can better understand it's history and hope its had a good life not being wheeled.

I'd pay $5,000 but it would probably sell for around $9,000 here. However you didn't mention if it was an auto or manual. An auto would be gutless and more difficult to sell.

frame is in process of being completely coated with rust bullet
as of now the only areas of rust that concern me are the crossmembers for gas tank and part of the tire carrier but both are still salvageable
honestly im just gauging opinion to see what kind of popularity is out there and how it varies.
I know that if I put 11K on the truck it would be gone in a few weeks im just seeing if the Tacoma market is as good everywhere else

 

In all due respect most of the guys on here (same with any forum) will say I want it stock so I know it hasn't been wheeled. Then within a week of ownership it has been up the headlights in the mud, then new tires, and lift some slight work, and back into the mud and repeat....

When I owned my mustang, "man I would give you more if it was stock" OK? You do know it's a MUSTANG right? It is meant for speed."

Two weeks later new owner calls man I had this thing up to 88mph and went to the future... Me, "you're welcome"

I say don't worry about it being wheeled as long as it was taken care of in the process.

With it being a 2.7 and no trd package you could probably get 8.5-9k for it up here

 

If it were here in TX, it would be a 9-10k truck pretty easily

 

it seems like the first gens are hit and miss from place to place.
around here in WV the first gen is extremely hard to come by for a decent price.
while I was shopping around for one it seemed like every one I came across they were asking more for than used 2nd gens

lol I'd pay 4k too, and fly out and drive it back, put the armor on my truck, then sell it for 7-9k.

 

No way not in Texas. I'd say considering it's not a Doublecab and not a V6 I'd say realistically that truck would sell for $7,000-$7,500 MAX here in Texas.
