    I have been trying to get my neighbor to sell his 04 D-Cab, but he just laughs at me. I need a Taco or a 4runner for the boss (wife) to drive, and am not getting anywhere. Once people buy these trucks, they just won't sell them. I think you have to waits for someone to die. :(

    I have an 06 D-Cab, and the back half of a 87 4X4 I am using as a trailer.

    1981...manufactured in May of that year so has one of the earliest 22Rs. WOOT FOR DOUBLE TIMING CHAIN! Easily over 200k miles on it...about 20k since I picked it up.

    It's a beater...but good DD. Just swapped in a 5sp when my 4sp took a crap. Today was first commuter run after the swap...in triple digit desert temps...truck now runs about 20 degrees F cooler now that I got an OD (used to hover around 190F...now 170). MPGs improvement/calculation will need to wait till after the next fill up. Now just need a speedo/odo that will properly work with it (ie proper speed range). I know of a 74-75 with a speedo of the right range so might check it out.
