The new tundra has a lot of updates that conceivably be done OTA, but Toyota opted for a recall instead, we're glad it would be neat to see the cost/risk of these updates. Bricking 1/100 ECUs is bad business.

The tacoma is going to have a lot of updates and lots of threads mocking it, but its just the nature of a modern vehicle now.

I had an E46 and it was perfect for Canada, it doesnt care if the pressures all drop equally. It cares when one is acting erratic. I wish they'd revisit it. Toyota briefly used it.

Don't mind the electronic transfer case but yea the electronic parking brake is stupid.

Honda does the TPMS based on wheel speed, they are kind of annoying to calibrate plus uneven tire wear can keep them from working right.

That's why I never recommend anyone buy the first year of a redesign, there's always bugs to be fixed.

That's what happens when everything is run by computers and modules, alot of it unnecessarily.

My "car hijacking" pondering was 100% theoretical. But a bad OTA update is going to happen. That's not "tinfoil hat", that's just IT. Ask ANY of my fellow nerds if they have a flawless update rollout history - It's IMPOSSIBLE. So yeah, that's a legit concern.
