    I have a 09 Tacoma prerunner sr5. It's my first 2nd gen and couldn't be more satisfied with it. I don't ever see very many 09 Tacoma guys though.

    actually...the deprecation begins the minute you sign the papers.

    however, because of such a large demand for used Tacomas...ans the lack of giant rebates like the big 3 trucks...Tacoma has one of the best value retention in the biz.

    buy a new Ford or Chebby for 30K...drive away and you just spent 20% (that's 6K), buy a new 30K Tacoma and drive, you just spent 5% (fifteen hundred bux)
    worse...take that Ford or Chebby back to the dealer for trade-in after say 1 year...you will be lucky to get 20K for it. The Tacoma under same circumstances...you will get 27K-28K.

    this is one of several reasons I will not but another domestic truck...And I have owned my share of 'em.
