I've installed a bunch of these on 3rd gens as well. That said, I'm sure you could bend the living shit out of the passenger side to remove the bolt.. But why bother? Cut the head of the bolt off and move on. To me, it just seems like a massive waste of time and a ton of mangled metal just to remove and reinstall one bolt.

Thanks, I'd assume its probably the same as the 2nd gens, so I could just use the torque sheet from the 2nd gen thread!

Ok y'all, take it easy on me as I'm new to Taco' and 4x4. I've read this thread and done some homework, however I just want some reassurance from the guys/gals here that are more veteran at this then me. So what I want is about a 2" lift all the way around. I want to retain a rake and I was going to do the 5100' up front set at 1.75" and the Toytec AAL out back. Am I doing it right and will it provide a little more ground clearance? Thanks.

For the most part, yes. BUT, you will be adding a lot of pre load to your factory coils, leading to a potentially harsh ride and limited down travel. If you can swing it, a new longer set of coils up front would be a better option.

Thanks y'all. Just the kind of information I was hoping to get. I do plan to run a 265/75-16 Cooper AT/3. Any suggestions on a good coil?

Sounds good. What is the spacer for, and why only on the Driver side? Are you telling me I'm fat? lol

Tacoma's are known to have a slight lean to the driver side. Been going on since the 2nd gens first came out. The top plate spacer is added to correct that lean and level the truck out side to side.

what are your thoughts on a 2" spacer lift kit? is that going to be too much since the CA's are already up 1 inch. im looking at gettting a 2inch spacer level kit from big johns in santa clarita Ca and i dont want to hurt the truck.

Alright y'all. Im actually going to order this stuff in the next day or so to do my 2" lift all the way around. Just want to ensure I'm getting the right stuff and figure out what else I may need. Thanks.

    Coils - http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/st...-__Various_Lift_Heights_Available_(PAIR).html

    AAL - http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/TAC-AL--ToyTec-Rear-add-a-leafs_p_16.html

    5100 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/BILSTEIN-24...ash=item236abbbd3d:g:BeQAAOSwGvhUD6xS&vxp=mtr

What else will I need? Also, since I'm doing the coils, do I need to set the 5100 to the .85" setting or do I go with the 1.75" setting?
