I was removed clamp because i didnt want all the pressure on that one rivet contact spot and iirc, the centering bolt on the aal is welded into the spring so im not sure how you would install the overload at the bottom

My center bolt came out and the one that came with the leafs went in. It was a B to tighten because it free spins. For now I know I'm not being super helpful. Once I get you a pic I think it'll help better.

Yeah i honestly cant remember, by the time i got to the rear i was exhausted and probably a few too many beers deep, i thought the centering pin on the aal was either welded in or pressed in similar to the rivets holding the clamps. Probably spend sunday tearing it apart to see whats up.

I hear you on that. The left rear was a beast. Did you do UCA's?

Yeah spc uca because they were the easiest vendor at work. Added bonus they are insanely adjustable too

Here's a couple pics. I didn't really want to pull off a tire. Does this help?image.jpgimage.jpg

Yeah screw those uca bolts! That was a nightmare not just getting old ones out but getting new ones in with all the fuel lines in the way. Still stumped though. Pics did help some, smart where you put the parking brake cable guide. Since i tossed my overloads, i dont have that guide clip so i had to use bolt holes on the hs aal which makes it pretty tight but still functions.

Not sure why im procrastinating, i have a replacement aal for that side so it all has to come apart anyways. Maybe sunday ill get my answer. Almost wondering if that side shock is bad.

Those pics were kind of terrible btw. My iPhone is suffering from a pretty far drop. No cracked screen but some internals have to be jacked. I reused my bolts. It took me twice as long as it should have. Did you throw away the overloads? I'd just put them back and see what you get.

Yeah i think the overloads are in the scrap metal pile. Might be able to dig em out but i dont want to because i think it would hurt offroading and i just dont see where it could help. If the overloads are being used with an empty bed, theres bigger issues to find

That is true. I was told by HS that the overloads were what was going to give me the 3". Which at the time I was adamant that that is what I wanted. Now I think 2.5 and a smoother ride would be fine. But my front is already at the .85. So I don't know if I even want to jack with it. Maybe when I switch out the leaf pack to Dakars in a few years.

    None :-((. Yet :-))
So I started a new thread about belly pans, but one of my biggest questions has to do with weight and suspensions. I have the TOYTECH 2.5 installed and am really happy with it, though the rear feels a bit harsher then I would have guessed. With this suspension what do the experts think I will be able to hold before I need to upgrade springs. I'd like to add at least a front skid, plate bumper, and winch, and can do aluminum but all I've read is that steel is a better product. Can the Toytec 2. Handle that much weight before I require either stiffer springs, or a CMC. I'd prefer to avoid both of those in a perfect world.

    Edemacate please

I have a full complement of RCI steel skids on my TRD OR with a stock suspension and I have no issues with the weight at all. It's evenly distributed.

No reason to even think about a CMC by simply adding skids and/or stiffer springs.

I want to double check this: Bilstein 6112 set at 3rd notch (+1.59 height) no upper control arms, 265/75/16 tires (32") with 16x8.5 -6 o/s (4.5"back space). Is this set up going to come together without any hitches ? I would like for you all to check my specs and ensure me it will be successful, or am I going to get headaches ??

Yea, thanks, I am going with the Icon 1-1/2" aal with some Icon shocks. I figured I'd be ok on that. I just don't want to have to get upper control arms. And am curious about that

That part im not sure on. I got em and not sure i needed them but it made life easier. But im on the 4th clip and a fairly light configuration with mt and ac. Id say you would be fine but it comes down to a number of factors

I just installed 6112/5160's on my 2016 OR. I have 265/75/17 Cooper ST/Maxx on TRD pro wheels. I also added a 3 leaf AAL in the rear.

6112's on the third notch, came in at 1.5" lift in the front using one 1/4 top spacer on drivers side. No rubbing etc. Put 40 miles on it felt great, nice ride! Firm but not harsh, I live several miles down a rutted, washboarded dirt road and it feels like off-road+ suspension.

I may have to check out the top spacer. I did not get that. So.... no upper control arms for you ?
