I want to get a front upgrade from my 2" OME medium kit. I also want about .5-1" more in the front than current. Should i roll with Fox 2.0 coilers or 2.5?

You’re running 5100’s in the front and 5160’s in the rear? Can I ask you - how does that feel? What made you go that route?
I only ask because I can get a decent deal on the 5160’s through my supplier, but I’ll be going with 5100’s + 887’s up front.

@cblow5 - thank you for chiming in, this is the real-world opinion I was hoping to hear.

Are you able to get more lift with the 2nd Gen 5100’s when set on the same clip setting? I’d prefer to get as much as possible without having to go too high on the clips - I can get 2nd gen 5100s or 3rd, both are available.

How’s the ride vs standard OR setup? Same, smoother or harder?
I’m looking at leveling mine out, but don’t want a harsher ride which the 5100 setup seems to give.
    Thanks

How I spent my Friday off..

Installed some bilstein 5100 set to 1.1 on the front. I used the floor jack method to decompress and compress oem coils; worked like a charm and never felt unsafe.

Have some bilstein 5160s for rear but waiting for front to settle to see if I need to add a lift too.

First time doing suspension work & I am beat....
Sushi for dinner to celebrate; hopefully nothing flys off....

No good ones, but I went ahead and added the bilstein 5160s yesterday.

installed a stage 3 lift by icon with tubular uca and delta joint. then in the rear added the progressive aal pack. i also removed the overload spring. job took me around 13 hours. happy with the results!

cranked the coilover about 6 or 8 turns if i remember correctly

    alignment specs are near perfect
alignment guy told me was easy to get it in spec and was impressed how close he could get it in range

Do you have any pics of how this turned out? Your suspension set up would probably be pretty useful to some guys out there - a bit of a different set up but still using popular components.

Not sure why my pics didn’t upload the first time. Anyway here’s some shots I got shortly after the lift was installed. I’m extremely happy with the outcome, rides amazing, no vibe or taco lean after 1000+ miles. I however sag in the front more than expected-it’s sitting almost at factory rake. I may go up to the 2nd notch in the front .65 just to bring it back up and avoid rubbing.

That looks really good @Theshortbusmafia - you can definitely see the 295’s are really big. Hope that second notch works out - it looks great as it is

    Budget lift....
Was thinking the 5100's front and rear set at 0 with the OME coils (887)?... with the 3 leaf AAL keeping the factory overload springs.
LR uca's. Hoping to achieve 2 to 2 1/2" of lift after settling...
Will I need a diff drop or pinion shims..?
    Anything else I'm missing ..?
    Brake lines, ECGS bushing..?
Just want everything needed for a good reliable and trouble free setup.
This will be going on a 2016 TRD double cab off-road 4x4..
