Do you guys mean cutting the bolt that connects the UCA to the lower spindle?
Or the long bolt that goes through both ends of the UCA ?

Oh okay, I saw a video on YouTube from total chaos were the guy bends the thin aluminum sheet blocking the bolts exit.
I'm guessing he just bends it back after install.

So is cutting the bolt an alternative to bending the aluminum on the truck?

Sorry, I just never really heard of cutting the bolt until now.

The video shows changing the UCA on one side. It's my understanding that the other side requires significantly more bending and is a total PITA without cutting the bolt and putting the new one in in the opposite direction. 2 bolts on Amazon came to $27. For that price I'll take the chance I don't need them as opposed to getting stuck in the middle of the job or bending the hell out of my truck to get the bolt out. I can always return them for free.

Correct. Believe me, I tried bending the passenger side, but quickly realized that I was going to have to bend it way more than I wanted to. Much easier to just cut the bolt head off and replace it. Total install time for both UCA's was roughly an hour and 20 minutes, vs struggling to bend the fender, fish the bolt out and deal with reinstalling it.

I asked about that earlier in this thread an was told I didn't need one. Would reconsider if I knew it was necessary or beneficial

Oh I see, yeah I haven't upgraded my UCA's and I wasn't aware how much of a pain the passenger side would be.

Yea. Me neither. I was told the same thing though. Don't need it. If an issue arises, you can always add it.

I'm not gonna lift until I get wheels/tires, but I will keep you updated if I have noises without it.

Thanks. My truck will be done in 2-3 weeks (lead time for King). If I'm done before you, I'll report back as well.

I put it on and then took it off, felt better about things with it off. my angles arent that different honestly. and i have less vibes with it off.
