Here's my SR5 2WD V6 DC on 885s with 5100's set at 0, drivers lean spacer, 1.5" rear block with 5100s. Rides similar to stock but a little stiffer in the front and smidge looser in the back.

If I was to do it all over again, I'd go 887s set at 0 with a AAL and an UCA.

Truck looks great! I'm getting those same wheels within the next week or so. What aal did you use in the rear and have you had any squeaking from it?

Hey, question about rubbing tires. How much, if any, is considered acceptable. I have the Toytec Ulimate 3in lift, 17 inch TRD Pro Wheels and KO2 275/70/17. About 2 inch clearance from the tire and the lower part of the wheel well (where the mudflaps are attached). When entering a road from a steep drive or backing off, I hear a slight rub until I level out. Installer said there shouldn't be an issue when we did the build, but wonder if this amount would be expected.

Hi Everyone. I have a complete newbie question about lifts. I will be taking delivery on a blue '16 Tacoma TRD Off-Road Double Cab Short Bed 4X4 within the next week. My buddy has a Jeep Rubicon, and we plan on off-roading a couple times a month, but this will also be my daily driver (~18k miles/year).

I like the look of the Ko2, Cooper St Max, or Open Country tires in a 285 size. In speaking with a local shop, here in Baltimore, they suggested a ReadyLift kit 2.75-3.0"F/2.0"R. While I am sure this has been answered somewhere on this forum, my brain is overloaded with information from so many discussions I've read. Will this lift kit make the truck ride harsher, as compared to other lift kits? Are there any inherit risks associated with this type of lift (premature wear of other mechanical systems)?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Thanks, I am happy with the outcome. THanks to all the TW folks for their help. I have a Pintrest account full of pictures and ideas. Hope to get this rubbing thing worked out.

Down South Motorsports. They're a forum sponsor. PM them first and ask for the TW discount on whatever you're looking to buy. They beat the next best price I got by a decent margin. Great customer service through the process. I even had an issue with install which was actually Kings fault, and DSM handled it very quickly.

Are you certain your alignment is good? I can't imagine this wheel and tire combo would rub with that lift. Front is coilovers, right? Did the installer adjust the front ride height?

Yep. Coilovers in the front. Rides true, so I would expect to notice a problem with alignment, but since it only is on the left, that could be the case. I am waiting to hear back from them.

At a glance, it appears your truck is sitting a little lower in front than I would expect it to with those coilovers. I haven't seen a straight profile pic though. I would bet they just need adjusting.

1" spacer... 3" Leveling kit? Can anyone share the cost or link to the best OEM kit for Gen 3 2016 Taco? Interested in raising it without sacrificing ride stability.

Not the best lift but it will work. Your ride quality will stay the same as stock. If you go with a spacer lift and wanna save some $ check Amazon for Supreme lift about $159

Maybe it's just me and my ignorance but why would anyone pay close to $40,000 for a truck only to try and save money an upgrade that can determined your ride quality and spend as little as possible on a body lift?
