wasn’t advice from the board and that’s MY fault, no one else’s.

All good, that’s why I’m glad I’m a member here. Correct info!

the real title should be “I’m a dumbass and should consult my TW brethren before listening to idiots at 4WP on simple shit like lugs.”

Don't have those wheels personally but my buddy has them on his 4RUNNER and when he got them installed, Discount Tire had the same issue. They told him it was pretty common on those wheels because it is a really tight fit on the hub. They had to scrape the paint off of the inner bore to get them to fit.

You aren't the first and you won't be the last lol, my buddy recently put alloys on his taco and had the same issue, didn't know he needed new lug nuts to switch from steel.

So, the stock lugs from a Sport model should fit the TRD pro wheels. Right?

It’s not an issue of being a dumbass, bro...they don’t make it easy with all the different wheel/lug combos.

same with mountain bikes/forks/boost/bottom brackets. Actually dialing in what you NEED is like reaching the top of Mount Everest in terms of victory points.

True. BUT when I first got those wheels I said to myself “hmmm, those lug holes/cutouts look awfully big compared to my stock or scs ones.....”

And proceeded to ignore my curiosity - sure enough, there’s a damn good reason it’s different lmfao aha.

regardless, easy fix and glad I have TW as a resource. Saved my ass yet again...

Thanks, that’s what I thought!! I haven’t mount them as of yet since Christmas, I’m trying to use the current tires as much as possible before buying new tires for the Pro wheels:thumbsup:.

Sorry but your first mistake was 4WP.

If it's not a Jeep they don't really care.

Man I have some 4Runner wheels going on next week. Glad I saw this thread because I ordered some lugs I'm gonna have to return.

Anyone know of any nice lugs that will fit OEM and are black. There are some on Amazon but most complain about chipping and rusting quickly.

There are 2 different lengths. They'll both work, as they have the same thread engagement. But some wheels have deep lug wells....some are more shallow. So it's just a matter of aesthetics. My experience says go with the shorter one when in doubt.

Also....notice these shank style nuts have a tapered bottom to accommodate your steel spare wheel.
