    Yeah.
I'm a fan of the Gorilla lug nuts, but sorry I don't have the exact P/N. A couple of my stock ones were already swelling and sticking in the wrench, so swapped to the solid Gorilla nuts in black.

Exactly, the lug nuts will center the wheel and support it. Good pic

Being hub centric centers the wheel. The shank type nuts help to distribute the load over the wheel hat where it belongs...and less on the studs

    Stock and staying that way
EDIT: Looks like I was wrong. My bad. Memory is not as good as it used to be I guess. See top of page 4.

There are both hubcentric and lugcentric wheels. Generally speaking hubcentric will be a tapered seat that does not extend into the lug hole on the wheel beyond the matching taper. And lugcentric wheels will generally have a flat space, use washers, and the lug has a male protrusion that protrudes into the lug hole in the wheel.

Another issue is your putting a 285 tire on a 7” wide rim. I don’t know of any 285 tires that are designed to be used on 7” rim. It can obvious work but isn’t ideal. I wanted the Pro rims and a 33” tire also but went with a 33x10.5 tire which is designed to be used on a 7” wide rim.

that has nothing to do with it and clears the calipers, UCA, etc by a country mile. While not “ideal” plenty of people have run 11.5 wides on 7” wheels like plenty run 12.5 wide on 8” wheels. Definitely isn’t the “issue.”

I was simply using the wrong lugs as the plethora of people previously in this thread have mentioned.

    thanks though

I wasn’t saying that was your problem. Just pointing out that your tire wasn’t designed to be used with those rims.

@DevilTaco4 thanks for posting this thread. I learned something. I’m ordering these wheels in the very near future from a local Toyota dealer. Parts guy said I could use the OEM lug nuts from the 2019 Sport I’m taking deliver of this weekend.

thats cool and all, but literally has no relevance to my issue lol, that’s all I was saying...

315s aren’t “designed” to be run with 8” wheels and people do it allllllll the time. I’ll be okay, but thanks for the concern

well, as someone said in this thread earlier, I think sport lugs work? Don’t quote me, I just know my SR steel wheel lugs definitely don’t work.

Yeah, that's exactly right. It was questioned earlier in the thread and someone answered. Sport lugs work on Trd Pro 4R wheels.

So I surmise that I was somewhat correct in my response to the OP situation. Nut & bolt situations pretty much follow the squeeze concept. I ain't no engineer, but I stayed at a motel once.

Well I have some 4Runner pro wheels in the basement I'm going to put on. Does anyone know what black lugs will work? I assume they're 1.5" long.
