    Check out this book.

I'll give you a quick overview.

Basically, the internet is facilitating the 'dumbing down' of humans, as we dont rely on memory as much, which leads to a shorter attention span.

(This affects the ability of drivers, especially when they have a cell phone in the car........)

So, what size tires can I fit without lifting my truck?

One might argue that all these innovations have been the downfall of mankind. Back in the day people had to work from sunup to sundown. Whether it was farming, gathering, hunting, preparing, sewing, churning butter, etc. After dark they'd go to bed because they were exhausted. Now we have far too much free time for drinking, drugs, shopping for crap we don't need, trolling on forums, texting on the freeway, climbing corporate ladders so the one with the most toys wins. Cheating on your spouse. I dunno. The hard, simple life had it's good points

There are some that say that all of the free time we have, actually contributed to our capacity to think and reason. Which led to more innovations and more free time, and more capacity to innovate and on and on.

You're going to have to lift your truck regardless. You have to take the tires, that are on there, off first.

I often feel like I would have been a much happier person had I been born into a hunter gatherer society in a different time...
Yeah technology is great n all, but it distracts us from what is really important in life. Being present in the moment, with the people we care about, and working together for the betterment of eachother.

That is basically the common thought at the end of some of my classes. "Why are we even doing this?"

However, today, many more people survive due to advances in technology. People live longer, and dont have to work as hard, physically. The speed in which "work" can be done is faster than ever before.

Trust me, I sometimes long for the balls to just say fuck it and quit my job, plant some veggies and live off the land.
