Help me solve this mystery!

So ever now and then I'll wake up to a small puddle in the middle of the bathroom floor. I've not been able to identify the source, no water trail to toilet or other water sources in the bathroom or water damaged looking areas on the walls or ceiling. Just a puddle right in the middle of the floor usually about 10" in diameter and a quick clean up! I'm not getting drunk and missing the toilet in the middle of the night that'd produce a much larger puddle!!

So far my thoughts are:
1. A crack in the slab maybe, and coming up through vinyl flooring. I need to pay more attention to if it only happens when its raining!
2. Humidity causing the pooling, it is SC!

Doors shut though, thought about that, but its even happened before his arrival to the house!

 

Are you taking a shower at night? Have you looked up at the ceiling and touched it to make sure nothing is coming from above?

 

Nope, I shower in the morning and there is no water damage on the ceiling... I haven't touched it though. Pretty sure all the pipes are in the walls and not ran in the ceiling.

I was thinking possible pooling from the humidity dripping from the ceiling. Hmm.... Do you have a solid vinyl floor in the bathroom or is it plank? Do you have any separation or holes anywhere that would show a leak? Also maybe try taking off the top of the toilet and seeing how high the water is? Maybe it's leaking occasionally and then pooling to the lowest spot on the floor.

 

Pretty sure its a solid vinyl cheap cut. I'll look for a line or seam in it, should be 1 piece, might be 2. Toilet bowl level was good last I checked, when I throw in one of them chlorine thingies a couple of weeks ago. This happens once every few months!!

 

I guess my thought with the toilet was sometimes when the seal on the toilet is going bad it will think the water is low and sporadically run. If it's running occasionally then it may overrun spitting out a little excess water before thinking the flapper is back down and shutting off.

Who knows, I'm just tossing out guesses. Whose our resident plumber? Isn't that reef?

put some paper towls rolled up around the base of the shitter.. leave it over night. May be you wax ring

also if it runs sometimes, high humidity from keeping the door closed, may cause the base to sweat, but normally it will puddle around the WC

or.. look straight up from the puddle, your fart fan may be leaking when it rains..

I could go on, and on, check these first

I just sprayed it and rolled! Really didn't try to be careful.

 

DONT PUT THOSE CHLORINE TABS INTO YOUR TANK!! It will warp every plastic piece inside, giving me 2-300$ of repairs
