Call me a pessimist, but...I always assume cagers will do something stupid and endanger me.
Like turning across lane right in front of me or pulling out into my lane like I'm not even there.

I was told long ago to always have an escape route.
And ride like they're trying to kill you.
    It's served me well.

Can you go back to the seller to fix? I would think floating is a condition of sale.

I had a 69 Camino. 350 small block Bored .30 thousands, TRW flat top pistons. Weiand intake manifold with a Rochchester Quadrajet, stock heads with all new springs 3 angle valve job, nothing compared to yours. I ran out of money, so I didn't put a stall converter in it, which it desperately needed. Was a complete dog off the line until you hit about 2500 rpms. Then it would just lean back and take the fuck off. I scared the shit out of a lot of people in it. I can only imagine how many of your passengers have had to change their drawers when they got home. Nice ride dude really nice.

Same issues when riding a heart and lung with legs two wheeler with 20 speeds. It still amazes me, that I never shit myself from some of the close calls I had. There are some incredibly stupid drivers on the road now days. I always tried to make eye contact with drivers sitting at stop signs, side roads, driveways, whatevever so that they would acknowledge me. I actually had to kick a woman's car one ride to keep her from running me off the road. I was stopped resting at a stop sign one day, and a driver turning left made the turn so sharp, she almost hit my front tire. Couldn't have missed me by more than about 2 ft. Should have seen the look on her face as she went by..I rode a total of about 16k miles before my back went out. I was only involved in 2 bad crashes from riding in a group. Neither was my fault, but one garnered me a ride to the hospital for xrays. I'm always looking for bikes when I'm out and about. Both Kinds, those with Motors, and those without. Be Safe

Well, that trimmer is leaking fuel from the carb in a few places. And here I thought it would be an easy clean and tune. Oh well, free is free

this, and i always ride with a full face helmet, and as i am pulling it over the logjam, (my head) i envision, that i am invisible, and ALWAYS an escape route, which can, at times, be painful, ask me how i know....:anonymous:

Possibly one of them, but it also looks damaged like someone took it apart before me. One of the fuel lines has a pin hole, but that's fine until I get it running. It's on the outlet side

I'll have to look into it. Worth a shot. I figured it was final since it was private party sale.

Yup, It's ok. Better that I found the leak while launching. Rather than possibly sinking. Once it's fixed I'll feel better about it.

Also have a bunch of random carb parts lying around that I'll scavenge from, not to mention hundreds of feet of fuel line

That sucks! I assume it has a working bilge pump in there somewhere? Hopefully it's an easy fix.
