My 2 cents, I’ve worked shift work for 36 years. The first 15 straight nights, the last 21 switching back and forth every 3 to 4 days. I have seldom been able to see outside from where I work, but your body and mind know it is nighttime. Working these shifts it has been hard to take meds, eat regularly and sleep. Plus not getting many holidays off and family don’t understand why if you get off a 12 or 16 hour shift you can’t make it to dinner at noon. In the last 36 years I’ve had 6 Christmas’s off. But I had to do what I did to support my family.
