Like it'll hurt for a while venomous or goto the ER venomous? It's still a pretty snake.

I have been known to say the wrong things at the wrong time. I'm okay with that :D

Barely hurt a while, few people have bad reactions, but no one goes to hospital. It is rear-fanged and it is a poor delivery system. It must chew it in and hold for a while. Not like front-fanged snakes that deliver an entire dose with a quick bite.

Enough to take out a frog/mouse, not anything bigger.

People breed hognoses in captivity and keep them as pets.

@Taco-Obsessed unrelated subject, but do you have any tips on spotting these owls in our trees? Super dense foliage and I can never seem to find them and of course they usually stop hooting when I try and look for a while.

Are there better times of day to look or anything distinct I can search for in the tree that would help me locate it?

Can you record the hooting for me so I can ID the species? I could give tips once I know the species.

I knew people breed and keep them as pets but I didn’t know they where venomous..

while I haven’t see any I watch out for copper heads and rattle snakes around our place.

Have seen quite a few rat snakes. we have racers and lots of king around here. Have seen several corn snakes and even a few Rough green snakes. Haven’t seen any ring neck but we do have them in the area.

Rough greens are real cool. I use to breed hognose, rats, corns, etc at my old work.

Yeah. They are really cool. Pick them up when I can, once I moved one out of the drive way and put it in a tree.

I also stop in the road when I can( usually back roads and without traffic around) and move box turtles out of the road.

Yeah. It’s pretty common to find them cross the roads around here. Sadly they get ran over a lot as well, Accidentally or on purpose.:pout:
