If you're not in a city then go with unlimited data. Even with unlimited if you're a high data user you may have to compete for bandwidth if you're around a large population but if not then you'll never have any issues.

Low population here. They have a basic plan 25gb/$50 It's unlimited but goes to 2g once 25gb is reached per month. Not sure how much gb I use and what does 2g mean? We use Netflix some and PCs quite a bit, Youtube and surfing, TW.

If you're going with phones as your solo source of internet than you'll go through the 25gigs, but is that for each of you? Also, if you're tethering internet from your phone to your laptop or TV vs casting that's typically a separate data bucket that you won't have as much of. I think I have 7gb tethering each month that I pretty much never use unless the power goes out. If you go into your phone settings you should find something under data that will show your current usage so you can get an idea of how much you use in general. I'm at 33gb in the last month and that's 100% my phone, not shared and doesn't count what we use on tv.

Do you get T-Mobile in your area? They're the only carrier in my opinion with truly unlimited data though they'll advertise they'll throttle you down after a certain point, but because we're rural it never matters.

2g speeds are almost unusable nowadays. If you want to see what it would be like typically it's in your phone settings under network and you can manually kick yourself off your 4g and into 2g. It's not acceptable in my opinion.

We do actually pay for a mobile internet of sorts, but it's $150/mo which is more than most would accept but we like our data and our speeds so
