Said 3 to 5 days. I agree it’s stupid that it still takes so long to hear back.

    Hiya Tiff!
Lis got home Thursday so I’m super happy!
She had a great time helping bring the newest into the world and was there to celebrate our oldest’s 2nd birthday! Was crazy times there cause our daughter and SIL moved into a new house on 10/23, Lis arrived 10/26, baby 10/27 and hurricane Zeta 10/28.

Did ya smash any windows? If I was there, I would swing my ball peen hammer until I couldn’t breathe anymore or my 30 minute break was over, whichever came first.

Aww, excellent photos to share! Glad to hear the wifey enjoyed her trip and you've got some supervision back at home lol. Sometimes gotta keep your beer spending in check.

Do you have plans to go back out there together at some point?

Thanks! Our daughter takes amazing pictures!

I kinda fell into this weird and dark depression while she was gone. While she was gone for the delivery of our oldest grandson I had plenty to do putting the house back together after the floods. With the house pretty much done and the current dumpster fire with Covid there wasn't much to do except drink and :rasta: this time and I did both A LOT!!! Did go to a bottle and bud share at our local bottle shop which I have very little memory of. Owner closed the place down early and there were about 10 of us. He is a LUNATIC when it comes to imbibing so it was crazy!

Kids want us to come in the spring but we're gonna see what happens with Covid before we commit. If things settle down by summer they'll come here and hang out for a few weeks. I'm not crazy about flying cause at 6'7" planes are cramped and we're too cheap to pay for the extra legroom seats. NOLA also is not one of my favorite places so I'd much rather they come here.

You guys settling in for the winter there?

As much as the wait sucks, the tests with longer wait times have been much more accurate at least from what we're seeing here. A lot of the rapid tests have been providing false pos AND neg results.

Hope it's neg and you start feeling better!

You gotta book yourself the emergency exit row for the extra leg room! Hopefully they'll come out and visit in the spring so you won't have to worry either way

As far as winter goes, I think we're finally ready at this point. We're really hoping our Drifter finalizes soon though so we can actually make the drive back to CA to pick it up otherwise we may have to wait out the season which just isn't ideal. We can't exactly winterize a house to be gone for a week but leave our cat here to freeze and get pissed off at us. Thankfully we've got a buddy in Washington willing to come house sit if we need to, but it's really a matter of coordinating our pick up, a house sitter and making sure all the passes are actually clear for travel. We weren't supposed to be still waiting when winter came :(

When the airlines started charging $50+ for exit row seats we stopped booking them. I'd rather spend the $$ on other things so I travel by plane rarely.

Sorry about the Drifter. You were supposed to have it much sooner no? Hoping things work out so you can make the trip sooner than later! :fingerscrossed:

$50 extra?? I wasn't aware they were doing that. I wouldn't pay for it either. Have you guys looked into train at all? Could make for some interesting sight seeing along the way.

Our order for our Drifter was placed last June with an estimated 12 month eta. With covid shut downs and multiple supplier issues.... Well, here we are :notsure: It is what it is and we know all the guys building it so it helps sustain my patience.
