"Ornament" story #7:



As you can clearly tell, this isn't really an ornament but one of those stick decoration items. Growing up, my parents both worked fairly late and my sisters were older so they moved out while I was young so I used to get the tree out and decorate each year to surprise my parents. We never really had much, but I remember our ornaments being in shades of blue and cream. We had those hard plastic snowflakes in cream along with blue and cream ornaments which were those string wrapped ones that start to fall apart over the years. I addition to those, I remember a bunch of these stick style ones similar to this but in shades of you guessed it, blue and cream.

Anyway, I found this at an antique store on a tree a few years ago and snatched it up. It's super cheesy but whatever
