I lost count, but I'm older than you, so just imagine. :p
A groundhog or raccoon will be a pretty big thump going over it.
Luckily, almost all were when I was in one of my F-150 work trucks.

Except for the possum I ran over with my Vulcan motorcycle.
No chance to swerve, the guy in front of me hit it and suddenly there it was.
At least I had the presence of mind to not try a violent evasive maneuver.
Bad idea on a scooter at high speed.
    Hit it dead center.
    KA-Whump.

Most of you can't remember a time when Canada Geese were uncommon.
I mean the Giant Canada subspecies, the ones you see on golf courses, etc.
Not the true migratory Canadas that split their time between the Gulf and...Canada. (Ta- Da!)

Thirty years or so ago their population started on the upswing.
At the time I hunted ducks on a farmer's property.
Pass shooting on the local flyway the mallards took every day.
I asked him if he minded if I took a goose or two.
    He grudgingly said okay.
Ten years later he's bugging me to shoot more of "Those Damn Geese"!
    Ha.

And we had to stop allowing swimming in the Club's lake in summertime.
    E-Coli.
Couldn't discourage the Geese from using the lake and crapping everywhere.
Even hired a professional to put up these plastic eye stakes and mylar strips.
The eyes to scare 'em and the mylar 'cause it's slippery and they don't like that. Or something
That stuff made not a whit of difference.
    So we gave up.
At least we didn't have to find and pay a lifeguard anymore. :)
