It's usually crazy windy when it lays the grass flat like that. Couple of weeks ago, I forgot to latch the hot tub cover. It typically seals pretty good and takes a fair amount of effort to break the seal, so to speak, to lift it. Imagine my surprise when I heard a loud thump and looked out to see it flipped open.

 

Same for us. We were actually planning on getting in our hot tub yesterday when the wind picked up and I had to run out and latch it.

I was so excited to enjoy the clouds and rain but the wind picked up from a light breeze to hurricane force in minutes. I almost had to go outside to close a window because I couldn't pull it closed from the inside because of the force of wind against it.
