Took the Bay Area metal fab, tacoma would and the stickers off the back glass.

 

Is that bed stiffener looking thing actually functional?

I've never seen that design before.

Interesting. It's fun, but I wouldn't accept that loss of sqft in the bed. I'm just picky.

Appreciate the bottle opener tied into it though. That's pretty excellent. We've got a few of his bottle openers laying around somewhere.

It doesn’t really take up any more space than the wheel well, can’t stack stuff on top of the wheel well quite as close to the glass. It’s probably about the size of my hand.

Stickers where about 8 to 10 years old and where starting to come off anyways. But I am removing a few things or putting some stuff back on in case I decide to put it up for sale.

I need to put the storage dividers back in behind the back seats.

 

But if you had something the size of the bed then you're now limiting the space above the wheel well. Then multiply it by 2 because you've gotta have a set and not only have you lost almost a full sqft of space, but instead of having unlimited height above the wheel well (I know I'm exaggerating here) you're limiting yourself to the 5 or so inches between it all. Unless you bump whatever it is forward to eliminate that issue, but now you're contending with something sitting like 5" out from the window...
