The 8 year old can. The 3 year old, not so much. Plus, both of them want to play outside and she didn't feel like it because she is tired.

I remember playing with matches around age 7 or so. Usually had fireworks as well....

If they are at my aunts it would be knitting needles.

No I’m not even joking. She let her grandkids get ahold of them and play with them when they were about 3 or 4.

I see kids now riding their bikes with helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, shin guards, etc. Hell, me and my brothers were out in cut-offs, no shoes jumping our heavily modded bikes over ramps and shit.

Depends on how the pregnancy is going. My first 2 pregnancies I was on my own as hubby worked from sun up to sun down. So I did EVERYTHING. Mind you my first 2 are less than a year apart. I had my hands full but ya do what ya gotta do. My third pregnancy I went into preterm labor and was on total bedrest for over half the pregnancy. My oldest was 2 my middle boy was 1 when this happened. Hubby was still working from sunup to sundown so between our two families every morning somebody would come and get my kids and bring them home at bedtime. When he was off work I did need him under my circumstances.

I think it would have been different if I had told her earlier in the day that I wanted to do this. Or if the kids acted better. Or if she wasn't tired. Or if I wasn't stupid.

    You too, huh? :p

    How about this:

Stealing Daddy-O's shotgun shells to cut open for the powder...
    ...to make home-made bombs.

I see that shit and laugh. I think I still have a small scar behind my knee from a metal peddle on a bike. I never had a helmet on when on a bicycle. But I did on the go cart/ATVs. I have crashed all those things, I have even flipped a golf cart.... twice.... hell at age 3 I flipped my battery Jeep. I can remember flipping it 3 different times.
