Never cheap-out and buy a "new-in-box" factory roof rack off of ebay. The rack itself was factory, but the hardware was not, and it rusted. Lesson learned.

Doesnt look like it without tearing a bunch of plastic trim off. Bout to roll through the car was again and was yesterdays fishing adventure mud and dust off. See if it happens again and start looking at where its coming from exactly
