I tried to wire the back of the house for a 220 outlet. That was successful but found out the way my house is wired, I can't prevent power from being back fed into the lines if I fire up the 9000 Watt. I don't have a disconnect on the main. I would probably need to drop a grand or two getting that done.

I have a very healthy respect for electrical. My buddy that helped me install was saying that I would need to call the electric company and get a temporary disconnect on the meter. All I heard was :spending::spending::spending:

    I drive a Miata.
My camp set is a 3200W - just barely enough to drive the AC. But at 80 pounds I dont carry it unless I really need it. I got it out and tested it for the freeze and had it on standby - fortunately never lost power here.

I am curious tho. How loud is that 800?

Samesies. Love the autostart features of those.

A number of jobs ago we had a company apartment in Africa. We went cheap on the generator there - it was a monster of a diesel but no low fuel alarm and no autostart/autoswitch.

Every time the power blipped (about four-five times a week) It was a debate on when to get off the couch, walk down four stories into the basement, and crank up the generator. And heaven help you if you didn't dipstick the fuel tank before cranking it.

Think 24k but don’t remember exactly. Will run whole house (2500sqft) seamlessly so totally doing it. Wouldn’t have had to be gone for 12 days if we had it this time.
