A little better picture. I made the muzzle protector flash suppressor if you could call it that. My first rifle of this variety is the most accurate, it's a DPMS with 20" bull barrel. It shoots less than a inch 5 rnd groups pretty much. I forget how many I have now.
    (2) 223, (1) 308 , (1) 243 (1) 6.5 Creedmoor
    (1) 224 Valkyrie and (1) 300 blackout

    I had to build mine.
It was last year and I couldn't find any complete rifles I liked.
    Even getting parts wasn't easy.

This has PSA Upper and Lower Receivers, M4 profile 5.56mm 16" barrel, A2 flash hider.
Plus a cheap SIG 3x9x40 scope on quick detach mount and an Atlas bipod clone.
Single stage polished trigger and Magpul MOE furniture.
20 round USGI mag in the rifle.

    I like it a lot.
Accuracy depends on the ammo quality.
Bulk military grade XM193 gives groups of about 2-3 inches...about what one can expect.
With Sierra Blitzking 55gr varmint loads, about 1"-1 1/2"

I have some 30 round magazines, but have only tested them to verify function.
The old style 20 round magazines are more practical for shooting off a bipod.

Yes, I prefer the 20 rnd mags myself for the reason you mentioned and the 30 round ones don't work at all in my rifle rest. I reload but sometimes it takes hundreds of rounds to get one dialed that's shoots consistently a inch or less for 5 round groups at 100 yards. I settled of a 55 grain spire point for the rifle pictured. It's inch and a half groups fairly good but out of several it will sling one off here and there. Can't expect much for a barrel that cost...last time I looked was about $70.00!
Two of the more recent rifles the Valkyrie and Creedmoor i haven't figured out yet, but the Valkyrie with factory 70 grain shoots excellent so theres promise in that one.
Several of mine are PSA uppers.

Interesting "muzzle protector flash suppressor" you made.
Does it suppress at all or just hide muzzle flash?

I went with the cheap A2 military style flash hider.
    It does the job. :notsure:

I'm interested in your 300 BO.
    Barrel length?

I've seen any number of videos of wild hog control in Texas at night.
Guys shooting subsonic 300 blackout ammo, suppressed, and with night scopes.
Without the supersonic crack, it takes a little bit for the hogs to realize what's happening. :p

Yeah, years ago I reloaded metallic cartridges with a Dillon 550B.
I sold it when I got into trapshooting.
Reloading shotgun shells is where you can save real money over shooting factory loads.
You may shoot 300 rounds at an ATA tournament.

    My shotshell reloading presses:

The 300 BO is 8" barrel so technically a pistol. Ultimately would like to get a silencer for it but just haven't crossed that bridge yet. Several friends and coworkers have cans and I'd definitely like to. I just put my name on the list at the gun shop for a Colt pistol so there's $1,500.00 would easily buy a can lol.
Not worried about background checks or anything because they've already gone so far up my ass with a microscope anyways due to my work.
