I can't argue with that! Couldn't believe the difference in 8 years time, from the first one I owned to that one.

Daughter: Hey Dad. I got a new kitten. But my boyfriend is allergic so I gotta get rid of him.

Me: Aw, that's a shame. Give me a description and I'll post on FB and try to find him a good home.

Daughter: Well, his name is Paul. He's like 6'2" 180 lbs. He works in IT.

Without hesitation, my 2001 Dodge Cummins. That truck was the most prized material possession I have ever owned, it was my dream truck that I wanted since I was a little boy. I had heavily modified it performance wise, and I still miss it. I sold it in 2015, due to extremely severe financial and medical issues I was facing at the time. I was living on Long Island, NY at the time. I ended up selling it to a guy who is a professional mechanic and local race car driver. He knew exactly what I had in the truck, and I have kept in tough with him ever since. He has taken the truck a good bit further than I did, enhancement wise, as newer technologies exist now than when I owned the truck. And he has the $$$. As sad as I am that I had to sell it, I am so thankful it went to someone who know what he bought, and really appreciates it.

I'd hate to think what my Forester looks like now. The kid that bought it knew pretty much nothing about Subarus and didn't care about anything that was done to it. It was just a vehicle that checked off all the boxes on their list and he already had plans to take off the body kit and swap tires because they lived deep off road. Like wtf do you buy a turbo with leather interior at that point? it was a sad day for me

 

My neighbor asked me if I had any plans for the fall.

It took me a minute to realize he meant autumn, not the collapse of civilization.

Called up the phone company...

Me: Hi, I want to have my moms landline disconnected. She only uses her cell now.

Rep: Well, it's in her husbands name. The request will have to come from him.

Me: He died five years ago.

Rep: Well, there's really nothing I can do without a request from him.

Me: If I stop paying the bill, you'll disconnect it, right?

Rep: Well, yes. But that will go against his credit rating.
