I can't complain about San Antonio prices. My most expensive bill in 7 years was $145.

 

Clearly denied it

 

Electricity is expensive in NH

 

I just closed all of them right after. Now my room doesn't get above 66

 

Time to move!

When I left Canada I had electric baseboard heating and no air conditioning. I was on equal billing. My bill was $300 a month. I left in 1997...

 

But translated into US Dollars, that was only like, what... $75 a month??

 

I bet our average electric bill is less than $8.00 a day or right around that amount.
I've been without electricity for a week in the middle of winter one year, terrible ice storms and many people were without power. After going a week without electricity, that $8.00 a day seems easily worth it.

 

If thats the same ice storm that we had (it probably was)...it sucked!!

Whenever the newer guy asks why he can't help do maintenance, I remind him about the last time he was convinced an engine was low on oil and proceeded to fill it all the way up and then run it until...well..yeah. I started him back on wiping-things-off duty, now he's up to screwdriver

 

So, I’ve been doing some mechanical work. I installed a rear-end in a recliner.

 

Is it a metal or a plastic screwdriver?

 

Plastic, that way he can't strip out any screw heads
