What kind of an idiot would plant a cypress tree in his yard? @Bob

When these things drop their leaves, or needles or whatever you call them in the fall they form an impenetrable mat that kills all the grass under the tree, and just grinding it up with the mower like I do with the rest of the leaves doesn't work 'cause it still poisons the grass. There's a reason they make mulch out of cypress. Gotta rake that shit up.

And where's your burn permit you ask? Can't get one since I live in the city limits where...technically...burning isn't allowed. It's never stopped any of my neighbors though and no one's ever complained. Small town life.

And the neighbors dog stopped by to soak up some heat from the fire.
