    I've seen some reviews too.
From what I can tell, it seems just "okay" in most respects... but most importantly, reliable.

Which makes it perfectly adequate for the majority of folks...who just want a self defense firearm.

Yes on the reliability be important first. I also have a even cheaper SCCY and only fired maybe 4 magazines full through it without a failure so :notsure:
The thing is the felt recoil on that one sure seems to be quite a lot.
It's like if you ever had a opportunity to fire a Beretta 92 back to back with the Taurus copy. I thought a night and day difference in felt recoil the Beretta just feeling more refined and smooth.
Like near anything, get what ya pay for.

I once owned the Taurus copy and quite liked it.
It was one of the earliest ones, so maybe that had something to do with it.
As I understand it, the Brazilian military adopted the Beretta 92 but part of the deal was that Beretta had to set up a factory in Brazil.
All new precision state of the art machinery.
After the contract was fulfilled the factory was taken over by Taurus.

This version had the safety/decocker on the frame.
The U S military demanded a redesign to relocate it to the slide, of course.

Personally, I thought having it on the frame was handier and more ergonomic.
But what do I know? :notsure:

I really wish I'd kept it.
It fit my big hand and shot straight.

Taurus seems to have a "Meh" reputation.
Probably deserved for all I know, but I haven't owned anything from them since my Taurus 92.
Maybe the later 92s weren't so great, but mine was one of the first ones made after the military contract.
Got mine when they first hit the market here.

I understand why people like the striker fired pistols.
The manual of arms is simpler.

Tell you what though, back in the day striker fired pistols had terrible, heavy trigger pulls.
    Not so much now.

But I have no love for them, I'm too used to double/single exposed hammer guns. :notsure:

I'm with you 100% still feel the same way. I just have a few newer type ones because....uh, just because.

Got my name on a Anaconda, a local sports shop and my friend with FFL both have 10 each ordered.

Time for me to check out for a bit. Need to make me some breakfast, get some components on deck for 9mm ammo to load, and possibly a little road trip to horrible fright for a transmission jack ( on sale now or new lower price). Wife asked me if I got that jack yet....she doesn't know about pistol :spy:
