Funny story, my younger sister caught a 9 pound largemouth bass on an off the shelf department store rod and reel (night crawler, eagle claw hook and a bobber) when she was 16 and I was 18. I took her out with me to the Connetquot River (Long Island) because she was bored. Some people thought she had caught the NY State record..lol. Close, but a few pounds too light.

 

It's funny, even with a 14 point lead into the 4th, I guarantee Rams fans everywhere are chewing their fingernails off right now.

 

my sister did about the same thing.. I was about three ..this is what I was told .my dad hooked a big dead Shad on her line feeschin off a bridge by a spill way in La. .. she hung a bass thinkin Dey said 8 lb guys under neath in a boat nettted wif dair net.. she’s like 3 yrs older than me

@Taco-Obsessed, question for you sir, yesterday, i made a 130 round trip to the eastern shore of maryland, and i saw no less than 10 red fox road kills?? i have never seen anything like that before, and believe it or not, i do pay attention, nary a fresh or 2 day old hit deer, but fox everywhere?? is it breeding season??

 

Plus dis is just lil canals nothing gets reel big … other dan cats and alligator gar

i have had largemouth bass several times, not a fan, rather have bluegill, crappie/white perch, or catfish, and snakehead in cleaner water..

 

I really feel bad for him, he's got it rough.

 

The biggest bass I pulled outta here is a 6lber dem white perch do get big doe

 

Yes. Peak in mating is Jan- Feb, so males are more mobile at this time of year looking for females. Imagine if Covid wasn't happening, traffic rates would be higher, so roadkill would likely be too.

 

Snakeheads are a lot of fun to catch. Never ate one though. When I lived in FL you could catch some monsters in the lake I lived on.

In fact, they killed about everything in that lake except the moccasins and gators.
