    My mom and I went to Subaru for an oil change this morning and I just about dropped after hearing the prices. $110+ for oil change (synthetic I think), tire rotation I think was free, and a whole $65 FOR A CABIN AIR FILTER! Napa sells them for the Ascent for $35 and I know one of the guys that works there and he always rings stuff up at the repair shop price which is generally cheaper. I told her I would change it but she said it's okay and had them do it.:annoyed:

    We were one of the first to get one in November of 2018 and it's been GREAT. In 50k miles the only issue its had was a clunk in the front occasionally when turning but that's it. She gets about 20 or so mpg around town and on a trip to the U.P. we got 27mpg. It's got a ton of get up and go. Great in the snow. The dealer we got it from has a lifetime powertrain warranty so if the motor or trans goes its covered. I know they stand by it because a kid I went to HS with blew up an engine or two in his WRX and they covered it. We almost got a Volkswagen Atlas but when we saw the Ascent my mom was sold. Also if you go to buy one go on a factory tour! We went on one before buying and they gave us a friends and family discount which ended up being about $5k off of the price. I think we had to have the tour people send some info to the dealer to get the discount.
