    I've taken at least a hundred cords of firewood off public land...Michaux State Forest to be precise.
    By permit of course.
    Permits are good for two weeks and you're supposed to say how much you're gonna cut (so many $ per cord, up front).
    But it's not like anybody is there to punch your ticket...if you know what I mean. :rolleyes:
