Put a little water with baking soda on the terminal’s.

 

That sounds easy.

Can someone show me a photo of what this should look like? I do better with visuals. (the battery not the baking soda)

 

They make some stuff in a can that works even better. Have to disconnect both terminals and give them a good cleaning too.

 

get some baking soda, vinegar and water. Mix it all together and use a toothbrush if you have nothing else, to give those terminals a good soak/clean

Agree with the responses already.

- Clean connections
- Even though battery tested ok, it could still be weak under heavy load like starting.
- Starter likely not the cause, but I suppose it could be.

Might want to do a visual inspection of the wire running from the battery to the starter. It could have rubbed somewhere and is starting to produce a short.

 

Found a receipt for a battery from the papers the previous owner gave me. Says the current battery is from 2013?? That seems long, but I don't see any other battery receipts so it probably is that one.

 

I only broke one thing, my LED work light. Hit it with a torque wrench on accident. Still works but the glass is broken. I also cut a finger when one of the coil overs fell on it taking it out of the truck.

 

You should be able to find a date on the battery somewhere to confirm that.

 

At least you have the skills to do the work yourself !
