I should have said, "it intrigues me".
I just true up the upper receiver. Couple of pictures show the progress, goal is a nice flat surface and perpendicular to where the bolts riding.

Yes but moar for the fit of the barrel extension where it butt up against it. I see a guy in Minnesota who builds some very accurate rifles, a first step that he does but in a lathe. I can't take firearm parts to work but I made the tool. They can be bought too.

Thank you! Quite recent. Within the last couple hours. Bar Harbor is the northern coast of Maine. So a few stone throws from the north pole.
Its technically an island, I believe. They do sell ice cream thankfully. Though its only about 50 degrees here now.
